Competitive call

What is funded?

Investment projects in fixed assets involving the creation of a new establishment, the incorporation of a new activity, an expansion of production capacity or an improvement of the production process, carried out in one of the beneficiary municipalities of the Nuclear Transition Fund. Minimum eligible expenditure in tangible and intangible fixed assets: €100,000.

Who can apply?

Companies located or in the process of locating in one of the beneficiary municipalities of the Nuclear Transition Fund, legally constituted at the time of application and carrying out an economic activity.

Communities of goods and civil societies with mercantile or professional purposes are also considered eligible beneficiaries.

Application period

From 09:00 on the day after the Resolution is published in the DOGC until 14:00 on the date established in the 2026 call.

Eligible actions and expenditure

The following expenditure is eligible:

  • a) Tangible assets: acquisition of land, buildings, machinery, equipment, laboratory instruments and installations. Only newly acquired assets (except land and buildings, which may be second-hand). Under RGEC aid, land is only eligible up to 10% of total eligible expenditure.
  • b) Intangible assets: investment in technology transfer (patent rights, licences, know-how, non-patented technical knowledge, software linked to the production process). For large enterprises, maximum 50% of total eligible investment.
  • c) Engineering and civil works expenditure necessary for the execution of the project (only for aid under the de minimis Regulation).
  • d) Cost of the justification report by a statutory auditor (100% intensity, maximum €1,500, under de minimis Regulation).

The beneficiary may subcontract up to 80% of the subsidised activity, under the conditions established in Article 29 of Law 38/2003 on General Grants.

Aid intensity and amount

Intensity and maximum aid are determined according to the applicable European regulation (RGEC, de minimis, RGEC Agricultural), company size and sector. If the project starts before the application date, the aid is always subject to the de minimis regime.

[3] For projects not under NACE 10, 11 and 13-33, maximum aid shall not exceed €500,000 (or up to €1,000,000 if the project creates ≥20 direct jobs of which ≥10 are qualified; or up to €5,000,000 under special new establishment conditions).

Minimum score to be achieved: 30 points in each of sub-criteria 3.1 and 3.2 (projects that do not reach this will be ineligible). Maximum total: 500 points.

  • Resolució: Decision: notification by publication on the e-Bulletin Board (tauler.gencat.cat). The application implies an implicit request for an 80% advance on the grant awarded.
  • Justificació: Justification: according to the standard form on Canal Empresa. Modalities: accreditation by modules / justification account with supporting documents / justification account with auditor's report. All procedures require electronic signature.
  • An 80% advance on the grant awarded may be requested.
