What is funded?

Projects creating a minimum of 3 new jobs in one of the beneficiary municipalities of the Nuclear Transition Fund. Employment creation is calculated as the difference between average headcount in the 12 months before the project starts and employment at the end, expressed in annual work units (AWU).

Who can apply?

Companies located or in the process of locating in one of the beneficiary municipalities of the Nuclear Transition Fund, legally constituted at the time of application and carrying out an economic activity.

Communities of goods and civil societies with mercantile or professional purposes are also considered eligible beneficiaries.

Application period

From 09:00 on the day after the Resolution is published in the DOGC until 14:00 on the date established in the 2026 call.

Eligible actions and expenditure

The following expenditure is eligible:

  • a) Labour cost for the first 12 months of newly hired staff: gross salary and mandatory social security contributions paid by the company.

    Severance pay, contract termination payments, allowances and travel expenses are not eligible.

  • b) Cost of the justification report by a statutory auditor (100% intensity, maximum €1,500, under de minimis Regulation).

Aid intensity and amount

Aid intensity is 50%. The maximum amount depends on whether the worker is classified as disadvantaged or not (see table and definition [1] below).

[1] A worker is considered disadvantaged if they:

A worker is considered disadvantaged if they meet at least one of the following conditions:

  • Have not had a fixed paid job in the 6 months prior to recruitment, or
  • Are between 16 and 24 years old, or
  • Do not have upper secondary or vocational education qualifications (ISCED 3), or have completed full-time education in the two previous years and have not had a first fixed paid job before, or
  • Are over 50 years old, or
  • Work in a sector or profession where the gender imbalance is at least 25% above the national average and belong to the under-represented gender group (Annex 12 of the regulatory basis).

Execution period

Projects may be carried out between 1 January 2026 and 30 June 2027. No extensions to this deadline will be granted.

Assessment criteria

Minimum score to be achieved: 30 points in each of sub-criteria 3.1 and 3.2 (projects that do not reach this will be ineligible). Maximum total: 500 points.

  • Resolució: Decision: notification by publication on the e-Bulletin Board (tauler.gencat.cat). The application implies a request for 80% advance payment.
  • Justificació: Justification: according to the standard model on Canal Empresa. Modalities: module accreditation / justification account with supporting documents / justification account with auditor's report. All procedures require electronic signature.
  • An 80% advance of the grant can be requested.
