What is funded?
Applied technological innovation projects close to market, with medium/low technological risk (TRL 7-9), that promote technological, digital and/or green transformation of companies and improve their competitiveness through advanced technologies. Innovation must be new for the company or its sector; it need not be new to the market.
Who can apply and requirements?
Small and medium-sized enterprises located or in the process of locating in one of the beneficiary municipalities of the Nuclear Transition Fund, with at least two years of existence at the time of application (counted from the date of registration in the Mercantile Register or equivalent).
Communities of goods and civil societies with mercantile or professional purposes are also considered eligible beneficiaries.
Application period
From 09:00 on the day after the Resolution is published in the DOGC until 14:00 on the date established in the 2026 call.
Eligible actions and expenditure
Eligible projects are applied technological innovation projects, close to market, with medium/low technological risk (TRL 7-9). A technological transformation project means one introducing a new or significantly improved product, process, commercialisation or organisational method where digital, green and/or advanced technologies play a direct role. The beneficiary may subcontract up to 70% of the subsidised activity (Law 38/2003, Art. 29).
- a) External collaborations and subcontracting: specialised engineering or design services, and testing and proof-of-concept services. Combined, these may not exceed 70% of total accepted eligible expenditure.
- b) Equipment acquisition: only new fixed assets necessary for the project. Leasing or renting is not accepted. Excluded: agricultural or field machinery, construction or civil engineering machinery, transport vehicles, building rehabilitation equipment, photovoltaic/battery/charging-point infrastructure. IT equipment (laptops, tablets, mobiles) is only accepted when strictly necessary for project execution.
- c) Other expenditure on software acquisition or software use licences necessary for the project.
- d) Cost of the justification report by a statutory auditor. Maximum eligible cost: €1,500.
Execution period
Projects may be carried out between 1 January 2026 and 30 June 2027.
No extensions to this period will be granted.

Procedures
- Sol·licitud: Grant application: according to the standard form on Canal Empresa (canalempresa.gencat.cat).
- Resolució: Decision: notification by publication on the e-Bulletin Board (tauler.gencat.cat).
- Justificació: Justification: actions covered by the grant must be justified within the period set in the grant decision, according to the model on Canal Empresa. Modality: justification account with auditor's report.
- The beneficiary may submit a single request for an advance of up to 80% of the grant awarded once the grant decision has been received, without providing guarantees.
Required documentation
Sol·licitud: Grant application: project technical documentation (technical report with publishable summary, complete and detailed budget, de minimis declaration for the last 3 years), compliance with legal and social requirements (2% disability quota if applicable, harassment and risk prevention protocols if applicable).
Justificació: Justification: according to the model on the ACCIÓ website or Canal Empresa. Electronic processing and signature.
