The short answer
P&L in Vacly Accounting is built from journal entries already validated. You can compare months and export. It is indicative: it is not an official certificate. The advisor signs the close. Vacly does not homologate and does not file with the AEAT.
Anyone searching for “profit and loss for the period” usually wants a figure for management on the 3rd, not a commercial-register filing. The work is to see the period from what has already been reviewed, not to sell that PDF as a certificate.
Accounting pricing is on request, according to the modules you contract. 15-day trial. Without [validated journal entries](/blog/asientos-contables-revision-validacion) the P&L is empty or a lie. The invoice is digitized in another guide; here you read the result.
What is the period P&L (and why is it indicative)?
It is a working snapshot: income and expense for the period from what is validated. Indicative means it helps you decide. It does not certify the close.
- Validated journal entries only. An open [proposal](/producto/contabilidad/precontabilidad) does not enter.
- By period: you see the month or range you choose in [P&L](/producto/contabilidad/balance-pyg).
- Compare months: a management view, not a tax form.
- Exportable: you leave with a working file. It is not an official filing.
- The advisor signs the close. Vacly does not homologate. It is not an official certificate.
Where do the numbers come from, and what does not count?
If you mix proposal, VAT and bank, the result drifts and you cannot tell why.
- Accounts from the [chart](/producto/contabilidad/plan-contable) and lines already [validated](/producto/contabilidad/asientos).
- The source invoice lives in [Invoicing](/producto/facturacion). How it is uploaded is in [digitizing invoices](/blog/digitalizar-facturas-precontabilidad-iva).
- The [balance sheet](/producto/contabilidad/balance) is another snapshot, as at a date. It is not a certificate either.
- The [VAT summary](/producto/fiscal/impuestos) lives in Tax. It does not replace this P&L, and the reverse is also true.
- Banking reconciles movements. It does not feed the P&L on its own.
What does “indicative, not a certificate” mean?
Some software sells P&L as if it were the filing. This screen does not. The caveat is the product.
Indicative
It is there to see the period from what has already been reviewed. It is a management and firm aid.
Not a certificate
It is not an official certificate. We do not sign the result before the Register or the tax agency.
The advisor closes
The advisor signs the judgement. Comparing months and exporting does not replace that close.
What is this screen not (and what should it not sell you)?
P&L is not the journal, the form or a seal.
- It is not the [journal-entry](/blog/asientos-contables-revision-validacion) queue. It reads them; it does not validate them for you.
- It is not the [balance sheet](/blog/balance-situacion-fecha). Assets and liabilities are another screen.
- It is not [closing and locking](/blog/cierre-contable-periodo-bloqueo). Closing the period is a separate decision.
- It does not file forms. That, if you use it, is in [Tax](/producto/fiscal).
- It is not a push to a3, Holded or Sage. [Export](/blog/exportar-asientos-programa-contable) produces a file.
