The short answer
Journal entries in Vacly Accounting is the period review queue: you see what was proposed, correct the account if needed and validate. A history remains. Nothing closes on its own. It does not replace the advisor and it does not file anything with the AEAT.
Anyone searching for “review validate period journal entries” usually has a spreadsheet journal and a Friday when nobody knows which line was left half done. The work is to see the queue, not to treat a month nobody looked at as closed.
Accounting pricing is on request, according to the modules you contract. 15-day trial. The proposal starts in [pre-accounting](/blog/precontabilidad-asientos-desde-facturas). How the invoice is digitized is another guide; here you review the journal entry.
What does it mean to review and validate the period’s journal entries?
It is the journal’s work queue. The proposal arrives; you sign off each line.
- Period queue: you see what waits for review in [Journal entries](/producto/contabilidad/asientos). Unvalidated lines do not disappear.
- Account correction: if debit or credit is the wrong account, you change it before validating.
- Validating closes the working line. It is not an official seal and not a filing with the tax agency.
- History: what was reviewed. A journal with no trail is an argument with the accountancy firm.
- Nothing closes on its own. It does not replace the advisor. Vacly does not homologate.
Where does each journal entry come from, and what does not count yet?
If you treat the proposal as a closed journal, the P&L is a lie.
- The proposal hangs from [pre-accounting](/producto/contabilidad/precontabilidad) and from the invoice already read in [Invoicing](/producto/facturacion).
- The [chart of accounts](/producto/contabilidad/plan-contable) supplies the accounts. Without a chart, correction is guesswork.
- Only what is validated enters the [P&L](/producto/contabilidad/balance-pyg) and the [balance sheet](/producto/contabilidad/balance). Both are indicative.
- [Closing](/producto/contabilidad/cierres) locks when the period has already been reviewed. Validating one line does not close the month.
- [Reconciliation](/producto/bancos/bancos-conciliacion) matches bank and invoice. It does not post the journal entry. Period VAT lives in [Tax](/producto/fiscal).
What do you see in the queue and in the history?
Two views. The open one is this week’s work. The closed one is proof that someone looked.
Visible queue
Journal entries waiting for review. If they are hidden, the period is treated as fine when it is not.
Correct and validate
You change the account if needed and validate. Validating is a decision. It is not an automation.
History
What was validated and what was corrected. It helps the accountancy firm and keeps you from rebuilding the quarter.
What is this screen not (and what should it not sell you)?
Reviewing journal entries is not invoicing, filing or certifying.
- It is not the [Invoicing](/producto/facturacion) inbox. The document lives there.
- It is not the [VAT summary](/blog/resumen-iva-impuestos-periodo). That lives in Tax.
- It is not an automatic close. [Locking the period](/blog/cierre-contable-periodo-bloqueo) is another screen.
- It is not a certificate of [P&L](/blog/cuenta-perdidas-ganancias-periodo) or [balance sheet](/blog/balance-situacion-fecha). Those are indicative.
- It does not push the journal to a3, Holded or Sage. [Export](/blog/exportar-asientos-programa-contable) is a file.
FAQ
Do journal entries validate themselves?
No. There is a queue, account correction and a history. Nothing closes on its own.
Where does the journal entry I review come from?
From the pre-accounting proposal, based on invoices already read. You confirm or correct.
Can I change the account before validating?
Yes. Correcting the account, debit or credit is part of the review.
Does this replace the advisor?
No. A person reviews and validates. The advisor signs the close.
Does Vacly homologate or file with the AEAT?
No. It is a work queue. It does not file and does not homologate.
What does it cost and how do we try it?
Pricing is on request, according to the modules you contract. The trial is 15 days.
How Vacly Accounting handles this
[Vacly journal entries](/producto/contabilidad/asientos) are the review queue: you correct, validate and leave a history. They are fed by [pre-accounting](/producto/contabilidad/precontabilidad) and the [chart](/producto/contabilidad/plan-contable). It is part of the [Accounting module](/producto/contabilidad), together with [P&L](/producto/contabilidad/balance-pyg), [balance sheet](/producto/contabilidad/balance), [closings](/producto/contabilidad/cierres) and [export](/producto/contabilidad/exportacion-contable). Pricing on request, according to contracted modules. It is not Invoicing, Tax or Banking. 15-day trial.
